CLOSE UP OF KANYE WEST’S HORUS CHAIN, PYRAMID RING

If you watched Sunday night’s (June 27) BET Awards, you probably caught Kanye West returning to the stage with his first live TV performance since last year.

During the stage show, he performed his brand new single, “Power” … and rocked some crazy jewelry.

We were wondering what that chain was all about, and ‘Ye explained it and posted some close-ups of both the chain and ring he rocked on his blog (KanyeWest.com) this week.

“Horus is one of the oldest and most significant deities in the Ancient Egyptian religion, who was worshipped from at least the late Predynastic period through to Greco-Roman times. Horus served many functions in the Egyptian pantheon, most notably being the god of the Sky, god of War and god of Protection,” the rapper/producer wrote of the accessories.

Nothing more is known about the pieces.
